SPOKE MOTORCYCLE FESTIVAL (SPOKE) is a
unique event that celebrates the love of motorbikes
and the joy of racing and riding in Tasmania. The
festival features a combination of motorcycle races,
demonstrations and the best of Tasmania’s locally
produced food, beer, wine and spirits, local artists
and musical entertainment, sales and merchandise,
family-friendly activities, and glamping options for
campers who want that extra bit of Tasmanian luxury.
Held on a privately owned beach on Tasmania’s East
Coast, SPOKE celebrates Tasmania’s distinct and
pristine natural environment and is one of very few
motorcycle festivals with stunning ocean views. The
event is designed to build on Tasmania’s interest in
motorsports, motorcycles and the motorcycle lifestyle
and provides a forum for individuals, families,
businesses, and those interested in motorbikes and
motorsports to meet, race, share stories, learn,
showcase new merchandise, all within a relaxed, fun,
and family-friendly festival environment.

This year the Bicheno ‘Devil of a Swim’ will follow an exciting new course; from Waubs Bay clockwise around Diamond Island.
In previous years the course has taken swimmers anti-clockwise around the Island.
The new direction will allow swimmers to follow a shallower route along Redbill Beach, to the checkpoint on the sandbar.
Swimmers will then be assessed for their capacity to continue the race around Diamond Island.
Cut-off time for this 2 kilometre checkpoint in the race will be 1 hour.
After circling the island swimmers will turn at a buoy on the island side of the sandbar and head straight back to the start/finish point at Waubs Bay.
It will be an exciting new challenge for all swimmers who line-up for the race
The age requirement for the 5km, 2km and 1km is 12 years of age.

A cancer diagnosis has a huge impact, both physically and emotionally. Some common emotional reactions include anxiety, fear, grief and anger. This workshop focuses on looking after yourself during your own cancer diagnosis or that of a loved one.
It provides some background information about how human beings respond to stress, and some practical tips for managing distress and reducing the impact on your mental health.
