Friends of Buckland Church Inc are raising funds to purchase the historically significant St John the Baptist Church Buckland to preserve it for future generations.

Bring a chair or picnic blanket and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon in the churchyard to the sounds of blues, fund, swing, jazz and ballads.

Come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon at the Buckland Church as ThylaSing present a song cycle that explores the adventure of death from before the beginning to well after the end. Afterlife gives voice to the dying, the dead, the grieving and the relieved, the coroners and the taxidermists and all those who struggle to let go of what is gone. An unexpected journey, with shades of humour through the shadows, following through to the one certain end. Afterlife is a new work by Nic Courto, performed by popular, award-winning Hobart based ensemble ThylaSing.
