New Playground Lions Park Bicheno

The week of the 17th August 2026 the old playground at Lions Park, Bicheno will be permanently removed from its current location.
Construction of the new playground in the new location (north of current location) in Lions Park will commence on 24th August 2026 and take approx. 6 to 8 weeks to complete.
During this period there will be no playground at Lion Park, an alternative playground is located on the corner of William St and Rose Street, Bicheno.
Duck Park Footbridge, Swansea – Project Update

The existing Duck Park Footbridge at the Esplanade, Swansea, will be removed during the last week of August 2026 to enable piling works for the new footbridge to commence.
Please note that there will be no pedestrian bridge access available until approximately mid-October 2026, subject to weather conditions. A signed detour route will be in place during this period.
Due to environmental constraints, piling works must be completed before the end of August. Fabrication and installation of the new bridge superstructure are expected to be completed by mid-October.
