Planning & Development Administration Officer / Permit Authority
Permanent Full-Time | Triabunna
$70,055 – $77,204 per annum + 18.5% superannuation
Glamorgan Spring Bay Council is looking for an organised, customer-focused administration professional to join our Planning and Development team.
This is a varied role providing administrative support across Council’s Planning, Building and Plumbing, and Compliance functions, including environmental health, animal management and fire abatement.
No two days will be quite the same. You’ll assist with processing planning, building and plumbing applications, preparing correspondence and documentation, coordinating inspections, maintaining accurate records and helping customers navigate Council processes and requirements.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys administration, takes pride in getting the details right and can confidently manage competing priorities. Just as importantly, you’ll be approachable and helpful, with the ability to explain processes clearly to customers and work collaboratively with people across Council.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- experience in administration, customer service or a similar support role;
- strong organisational and communication skills;
- confidence using Microsoft Office and computer-based administrative systems;
- a Certificate III in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience; and
- a current C Class Driver Licence.
A Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance) is desirable, however applicants who are willing to obtain this qualification within 12 months are also encouraged to apply. Previous experience in local government, planning, building, plumbing or compliance would be an advantage, but is not essential.
