Glamorgan Spring Bay Council is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our team in Triabunna.

This is an ongoing, part-time role working 27.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday. Our standard office hours are 8.45am to 4.45pm, and we’re happy to discuss suitable six-hour shifts, that include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, such as 9.00am to 3.00pm, for the right candidate.

The position is classified Band 2, Municipal Officer, with a full-time equivalent salary of $70,055 to $77,204, depending on skills and experience.

About the role

As one of the first points of contact for Council, you’ll help our customers and community in person, over the phone and by email, while also providing a range of administrative support across Council.

Your day will usually include responding to enquiries, processing payments, managing correspondence and records, assisting with meetings and visitors, and helping with the general day-to-day administration that keeps Council running smoothly.

About you

You don’t need previous local government experience. We’re looking for someone who:

• enjoys working with people and providing great customer service
• communicates confidently and respectfully
• is organised and able to manage different tasks and priorities
• has good attention to detail
• is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
• enjoys working as part of a team.

Previous experience in customer service, reception or administration would be an advantage, but importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
