Council are seeking expressions of interest from people who are suitably qualified and/or experienced to form part of a casual employment register for the Medical Reception in Triabunna.
Days and hours of work will vary relative to workload and staff coverage requirements.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday unless by special arrangement. The hours of work can vary, and applicants are asked to set out their work hour availability in their application.

- Cover letter, 1 page outlining summary of skills, experience, role and hours of work sought.

Council is seeking interest from suitable people that are interested in casual employment as the Orford Waste Transfer Station(WTS) attendant
The Orford WTS is open:
Summer hours- October until April – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2.30pm until 4.30pm. Sunday 10am until 2pm
Winter hours- April until October- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2.30pm until 4.30pm. Sunday 10am until 2pm
Open on all public holidays falling on open days with the exception of Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Opening/Closing of the Orford WTS on the designated days and times, including Sundays and public holidays
- Assessing incoming waste/recyclables and charging accordingly as per approved council fee’s.
- Handling of cash and use of EFTPOS facilities.
- Monitoring of skip bin volumes.
- Directing public to correct unloading locations within the WTS.
- Completing daily/weekly paperwork and submitting to Council office, Melbourne St, Triabunna
- Monitoring safety onsite
- Positively represent council in the role, always been courteous to customers to the WTS
- Must comply with council’s code of conduct

Applicants will need to provide referees for Council to speak with, be willing to undergo a work related medical, including drug and alcohol testing which continues in the workplace as part of routine support for a safe and healthy work environment.
Successful applicant will need to supply a current Tas Police check before accepting role.
Council is seeking to rebuild its expression of interest register for people that might be interested in casual roles in the Works area. This can include working in:
- Roads, path, bridge construction and maintenance
- Parks, gardens construction and maintenance
- Facilities maintenance
- Waste management
